Alexia Wellons

With graduate degrees in English and screenwriting, Alexia is proud to have worked as a writer and editor in the home entertainment, consumer products, software, and online industries. In 1997, she moved from Seattle to Edinburgh, Scotland, to study playwriting at Queen Margaret University and work as a dramaturg at the Royal Lyceum Theatre. Following international travels, she returned to Seattle, where she served as a copy editor at both Starbucks and Microsoft headquarters, developing text for some of the most highly trafficked sites on the web. She also freelanced for numerous travel magazines and published hundreds of online film and theater reviews. In 2001, she moved to LA and took on the role of copywriter and proofreader for Universal Studios. Alexia and Shannon created Scarlet Letters Copywriting in 2004.
Her favorite movies are Casablanca and The Princess Bride. Her favorite TV series are “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” and “Project Runway.”

Shannon Diffner
Co-President
Shannon has worked in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years. After graduation from San Francisco State University with an M.A. in Literature, she began working for the Tony Award-winning theatre producer Carole Shorenstein Hays. When she returned to her hometown of Los Angeles, she took a temp job with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group and stayed for eight years, working in the Creative and Marketing groups for the Interactive, Home Entertainment and Motion Picture Group divisions. She left Universal in 2005 in order to grow Scarlet Letters Copywriting with Alexia. Additionally, Shannon teaches Literature at Pierce College and at Cal State University Channel Islands.
Her favorite movie is Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz, and her most-loved TV shows usually take place in a hospital or a police station.
